Who you are agreeing with

Taily is made and published by Bogdan Szarka, an individual developer based in Romania, reachable at office.tailyapp@gmail.com. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean the developer, and "you" means the person using the app. By installing or using Taily you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.

What Taily does

Taily keeps a health journal for the animals in your care: records of vaccinations, parasite treatments, medication, vet visits, procedures and notes, together with weights, documents, photos, expenses and local reminders. It can produce summaries you may show to a vet, a groomer or a boarding kennel, and it can export everything you have entered.

What Taily is not

• It is not veterinary advice. Nothing the app displays is a diagnosis, a treatment plan or a recommendation. If an animal is unwell, contact a veterinarian.
• It does not calculate or suggest medication doses. The app logs what you tell it and nothing more. Doses come from your vet.
• It is not an official or certified document. A summary Taily generates reflects what you entered. It carries no authority of its own, and no organisation is obliged to accept it. Where proof is required, the document that counts is the certificate issued by your veterinarian, which you may store in the app alongside the summary.
• It is not a substitute for your own attention. Reminders are a helpful prompt, not a guarantee. See the section below.

Reminders

Reminders are scheduled on your device by Android. We build them to be as dependable as we can make them, and the app has a screen that checks whether the system is letting them through. Even so, delivery depends on things outside our control: the device being switched on, notification permission being granted, permission to schedule exact alarms, battery saving and background restrictions, manufacturer power management, the system clock, changes of time zone, and moving to a new phone. Do not rely on Taily alone for care that must not be missed.

Your records

What you enter stays on your device. We do not receive it, cannot read it and cannot recover it for you. Keeping a copy is your responsibility, and the app gives you a free export for exactly that purpose. Taily is deliberately excluded from Android's automatic cloud backup, so if you uninstall the app, or lose or reset the phone, the records go with it unless you exported them first.

You keep every right you have in the content you enter. We claim none of it. How your information is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

Taily Pro

Taily is free to use, with a complete history, reminders and export for one pet. Taily Pro unlocks the rest. The features included in Pro are listed in the app, on the screen where the purchase is offered, and may change as the app develops.

• Google Play handles the money, not us. Purchases are made through Google Play. We never see your name, card details or billing address.
• Prices are shown by Google Play in your own currency before you confirm, and those are the ones that apply.
• Taily Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. You pay once. Nothing renews, nothing is billed again, and there is nothing to cancel. It unlocks the Pro features for as long as the app is available and supported, which is not a promise that the app will exist forever.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own policy, not by us. We have no way to issue one. You can request one at Google Play's refund page.
• Restoring a purchase is done in the app, from Settings. Your entitlement follows the Google account you bought with.

Using the app fairly

Please do not attempt to break, decompile or work around the app's paid features, use it to store anything unlawful, or present a summary it generates as an official veterinary document. Use it for your own animals, or animals in your care.

The app itself

Taily, its name, its design, its icons and its code belong to us and are protected by copyright. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you control. Nothing here transfers ownership of the app to you. Fonts, icon sets and open source components included in the app remain the property of their authors and are used under their own licences.

Changes

The app changes as it improves: features are added, and occasionally one is reworked or withdrawn. We may also update these terms, for example when a new feature needs describing. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Ending things

You can stop using Taily at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your licence if you seriously breach these terms, though for an app that holds no account and sends us nothing, this is close to theoretical.

Warranties and liability

Taily is provided as it is. Within the limits the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost records, or for a missed reminder. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

If you are a consumer, you keep every right given to you by the consumer protection law of the country you live in. Nothing here takes those away.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Romania. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the European Union, you also keep the protections of the mandatory law of your own country, and you may bring proceedings there.
