Who is responsible for this app

Taily is made and published by Bogdan Szarka, an individual developer based in Romania. Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation this is the data controller for the app, and can be reached at office.tailyapp@gmail.com.

What we collect

Nothing. Taily has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party software development kits of any kind. The app makes no network requests to us, because we do not operate a server for it to talk to.

What you store, and where it lives

The information you enter, meaning your pets, their health records, weights, documents, photos, reminders and expenses, is written to storage on your own device and stays there.

• It is not uploaded to us.
• It is not shared with anyone else.
• It is not used for advertising or profiling.
• You can export all of it at any time, or delete it by deleting the app.

Apple's iCloud backup

If you have iCloud Backup switched on in iOS, Apple includes app data in your device backup, as it does for other apps. That backup is between you and Apple, covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to it.

Camera and photo library

Taily asks for camera access so you can scan vaccination certificates and vet documents, and for photo library access so you can choose pictures of your pets. Only the images you specifically pick or capture are used, and they are stored on your device with the rest of your records. Taily does not browse your library, and does not send images anywhere.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally by iOS on your device. They are not push notifications, so nothing about your pet's care is sent through a server to deliver them.

Purchases

If you buy Taily Pro, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, card details or billing address. Apple tells the app only whether a purchase is active.

Third parties

Taily contains no third-party software development kits, no analytics provider, no advertising network and no crash reporting service. No company receives your data from us, because we do not have it to give.

The only companies involved at all are Apple, which operates the App Store that sells the app and the iCloud backup you may have switched on, and whichever service you choose yourself when you tap Share to send a document or a vaccination card somewhere. In both cases the data is handled under those companies' own privacy policies, and in the second case it goes only where you personally send it.

Children

Taily is a record-keeping tool for pet owners and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.

How long data is kept, and how to delete it

We keep nothing, so there is nothing on our side with a retention period. Your records stay on your device for exactly as long as you want them:

• Delete one record: swipe or open it in the app and remove it. It is gone immediately.
• Delete a pet and everything attached to it: Pets → the pet → Edit → Delete.
• Delete everything: delete the app from your iPhone. iOS removes all of its data with it.
• Take a copy first: Settings → Data → Export writes a complete backup file you keep. This is free and always available.

If you also use iCloud Backup, remove Taily's data from Apple's backup in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage.

Withdrawing permission

Camera and photo library access can be turned off at any time in iOS Settings → Taily, and notifications the same way. The app keeps working without them; it simply cannot scan documents or send reminders until they are granted again.

Selling and sharing

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising or any other purpose. We have never done so. There is no advertising identifier, no data broker, and no cross-app tracking in Taily. For readers in California: because nothing is collected, sold or shared, there is nothing to opt out of, and Global Privacy Control signals have no data to act on.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, the CCPA and similar laws you have rights to access, correct, export and delete your personal data. In Taily those rights are satisfied by the app itself rather than by a request to us: the data is on your device, you can read it, change it, export it in full and destroy it at any moment, without asking anyone. We could not produce a copy of your records if you asked, because we do not have one.

If you believe your data has been mishandled you may complain to your national data protection authority.

Changes

If a future version of Taily changes how information is handled, for example by adding optional iCloud sync, where your data would travel to your own iCloud account rather than to us, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date above will change.
